Located in the heart of Georgian Bay, the Canadian Museum of Water is the only Canadian member of the Global Network of Water Museums. Dedicated entirely to water—its science, spirit, and role in our lives—it offers an immersive, interactive space where storytelling, multimedia, and community engagement inspire curiosity and deeper understanding.
At the Museum, we believe water is more than science or history—it’s relationship, memory, and future. To change how we treat
water, we must first change how we see it.
As a not-for-profit, we were founded to address the growing disconnect between people and the water systems we depend on. Our mission is to equip visitors with the knowledge and skills needed to appreciate and care for water today and for generations to come.
Through interactive learning, cultural exploration, and community connection, we advocate for water as a relationship to be respected and nurtured.
